The annual Summer Youth Camps feature 3 days per session of fun filled games, instruction, and interaction with the players and coaches who are a part of Mountaineer Baseball! This camp is designed to help each child develop their overall fundamentals and skills in the game of baseball. Campers will enjoy various drills and friendly competition throughout the week with the enjoyment of the game in mind. Skills will be taught in all positions by WVU Baseball Players and Coaches, including: infield, outfield, pitching and hitting. Each camper will need to bring his/her own equipment (baseball pants, gloves, bat, helmet, cleats, etc.).
Parents may stay and watch during camp or drop off and return at the conclusion of each day.

Traveling Youth Camps will be in full swing for the summer of 2025! Campers will be led by a WVU Director of Player Development Drew Hefner and other assisting instructors. This camp is designed to teach and further each campers fundamentals and skills in the game of baseball. During camp, campers will enjoy various drills and friendly competition throughout the day while keeping the enjoyment of the game in mind! Skills taught throughout the day will include, Pitching, Hitting, Infield, Outfield and Base running

Our Middle School Pitching/Hitting camp offers campers the chance to be instructed by the West Virginia Baseball Coaching staff and utilize the brand new WVU Baseball Indoor Facility at the ballpark. Both pitching and hitting sessions will feature foundational instructions for skill techniques, with an introduction into basic pitch design/swing mechanics. This is not an overnight camp; players are responsible for their own hotel and transportation arrangements.
Equipment: Equipment: Metal spikes are NOT permitted for this event. Kendrick Family Ballpark is an all turf field, including the mounds. Please wear molded cleats or turf shoes. Bats may be either metal or wood.

Session 2: Wednesday June 18th, 2025
Open to any and all entrants in the classes of 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, and eligible JUCO/Transfer College Players
Time: All campers need to be available between 7 AM and 8 PM on the day of camp. Each pitcher will be assigned a 60 minute time slot for an individual bullpen session and instruction from WVU Pitching Coach Justin Oney and/or WVU Director of Pitching Chris Reilly. Pitchers will be provided with an analytical breakdown of the pitches they throw. All pitchers will be coached on understanding the metrics as well as improving and choosing the best pitches to throw. Your time slot will be emailed out to the email listed on the registration form two days before camp.

Our full day prospect identification camps allow players the opportunity to be instructed and evaluated by The West Virginia University baseball coaching staff and other college staffs in attendance. Players will be taken through a pro-style work out, complete with on field batting practice and defensive evaluation. The camp also consists of detailed instruction at each position and in all aspects of the game. Players will also compete in an organized scrimmage with live pitching to showcase their abilities in front of all coaches in attendance. Players will also tour facilities and receive a presentation from the WVU Baseball Head Coach. This is not an overnight camp; players are responsible for their own hotel and transportation arrangements.

This camp focuses on the holistic aspects of what can help cross country runner be successful and enjoy the sport. College prep camp offers high-level individual concepts and team system training used in the college setting and is best for serious athletes looking to compete at the collegiate level. This one-day camp is designed for the student-athlete who wants to pursue their soccer career after high school. This ID Program is one of our most advanced, challenging, and competitive training programs we offer. This camp is only open to girls currently enrolled in grades 8 through college senior and is designed to give participants a clear understanding of what it’s like to train like a Mountaineer. The camp will allow participants the chance to be evaluated as future Mountaineers.
This camp will provide two training sessions that will challenge all players both in their technical and tactical areas. There will be goalkeeper specific training provided during camp.
