Baseball: Summer Youth Camps

Open to any and all entrants ages 5-12

Time: Camp will run from approximately 9 AM to Noon each day

Location: Kendrick Family Ballpark (2040 Gyorko Drive, Granville, WV 26534)

Tuition: $300 per camper per session, $500 per camper for both sessions if signed up before June 15th, 2025. Includes a camp t-shirt and commemorative baseball for autographs!

Communication: Email will be the primary form of communication used for this camp, updates will be sent out periodically leading up to camp.

The annual Summer Youth Camps feature 3 days per session of fun filled games, instruction, and interaction with the players and coaches who are a part of Mountaineer Baseball! This camp is designed to help each child develop their overall fundamentals and skills in the game of baseball. Campers will enjoy various drills and friendly competition throughout the week with the enjoyment of the game in mind. Skills will be taught in all positions by WVU Baseball Players and Coaches, including: infield, outfield, pitching and hitting. Each camper will need to bring his/her own equipment (baseball pants, gloves, bat, helmet, cleats, etc.).

Parents may stay and watch during camp or drop off and return at the conclusion of each day.

Baseball: Traveling Youth Camps

7/24- Mineral Wells, WV (Mineral Wells LL) (4-7pm)

7/29- Doddridge, WV (Doddridge HS) (4-7pm)

Open to any and all entrants ages 5-12

Time: Camp will run approximately from 9am-Noon, unless indicated with a different time.

Cost: $100 per camper

Communication: Primary form of communication will be through email. Updates will be sent periodically as camp date approaches.

Equipment: Cleats, Bat, Glove, Hat, Helmet, ETC.

Parents/families can stay and spectate camp

Traveling Youth Camps will be in full swing for the summer of 2025! Campers will be led by a WVU Director of Player Development Drew Hefner and other assisting instructors. This camp is designed to teach and further each campers fundamentals and skills in the game of baseball. During camp, campers will enjoy various drills and friendly competition throughout the day while keeping the enjoyment of the game in mind! Skills taught throughout the day will include, Pitching, Hitting, Infield, Outfield and Base running

Baseball: Middle School Pitching/Hitting Camp

August 10, 2025

Pitching Session: 9 AM to Noon

Hitting Session: 1 PM to 4 PM

Open to any and all entrants who are entering 5th, 6th, 7th, and 8th grades

Location: Monongalia County Ballpark (2040 Gyorko Drive, Granville, WV 26534)

Tuition: $100 per session, includes 1 camp t-shirt. Please note you will need to sign up for hitting and pitching sessions separately

Our Middle School Pitching/Hitting camp offers campers the chance to be instructed by the West Virginia Baseball Coaching staff and utilize the brand new WVU Baseball Indoor Facility at the ballpark. Both pitching and hitting sessions will feature foundational instructions for skill techniques, with an introduction into basic pitch design/swing mechanics. This is not an overnight camp; players are responsible for their own hotel and transportation arrangements.

Equipment: Equipment: Metal spikes are NOT permitted for this event. Kendrick Family Ballpark is an all turf field, including the mounds. Please wear molded cleats or turf shoes. Bats may be either metal or wood.

Baseball: Biomechanical Pitching Assessment Camp

Dates Available:

Session 1: Wednesday June 11th, 2025

Session 2: Wednesday June 18th, 2025

Open to any and all entrants in the classes of 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, and eligible JUCO/Transfer College Players

Time: All campers need to be available between 7 AM and 8 PM on the day of camp. Each pitcher will be assigned a 60 minute time slot for an individual bullpen session and instruction from WVU Pitching Coach Justin Oney and/or WVU Director of Pitching Chris Reilly. Pitchers will be provided with an analytical breakdown of the pitches they throw. All pitchers will be coached on understanding the metrics as well as improving and choosing the best pitches to throw. Your time slot will be emailed out to the email listed on the registration form two days before camp.

Baseball: Biomechanical Hitting Assessment Camp

June 17, 2025

Open to any and all entrants in the classes of 2026, 2027, 2028, 2029, and eligible JUCO/Transfer College Players

Each hitter will be assigned a 45 minute time slot for a hitting session and instruction from WVU Hitting Coach Jimmy Roesinger and/or WVU Director of Player Development Drew Hefner. The November camp date will be announced by June 2025. The January camp date will be announced by November 2025. Credits of the unused portion of registration will be issued in the event that you cannot attend a future date.

Our full day prospect identification camps allow players the opportunity to be instructed and evaluated by The West Virginia University baseball coaching staff and other college staffs in attendance. Players will be taken through a pro-style work out, complete with on field batting practice and defensive evaluation. The camp also consists of detailed instruction at each position and in all aspects of the game. Players will also compete in an organized scrimmage with live pitching to showcase their abilities in front of all coaches in attendance. Players will also tour facilities and receive a presentation from the WVU Baseball Head Coach. This is not an overnight camp; players are responsible for their own hotel and transportation arrangements.

Equipment: Metal spikes are NOT permitted for this event. Kendrick Family Ballpark is an all turf field, including the mounds. Please wear molded cleats or turf shoes. Bats may be either metal (BBCOR) or wood.

This camp focuses on the holistic aspects of what can help cross country runner be successful and enjoy the sport. Current team members, coaches, staff, and alumni bring the campers through daily runs, drills, strength and core work, team building activities, nutrition and sport psychology practices. Volleyball: College Prep Camp

College prep camp offers high-level individual concepts and team system training used in the college setting and is best for serious athletes looking to compete at the collegiate level. The training offered will be advanced, rigorous and at the pace of a collegiate practice environment. Prior playing experience at the club and varsity level is highly recommended.

Volleyball: Team Camp

July 11-12, 2025

You must be a member of an attending High School team to attend this camp. Teams must have a minimum of 8 players and may be accompanied by at least one coach (no charge for first coach). Junior varsity and varsity levels are welcome.

Team Camp provides the opportunity for teams to train together through team instruction, competitive drills, and tournament play. Training sessions will be tailored to the needs of each team and then teams will get the opportunity to apply the training to competition. We have also added a coaches clinic to this years camp!

Cost: $250 per camper

This one-day camp is designed for the student-athlete who wants to pursue their soccer career after high school. This ID Program is one of our most advanced, challenging, and competitive training programs we offer. This camp is only open to girls currently enrolled in grades 8 through college senior and is designed to give participants a clear understanding of what it’s like to train like a Mountaineer. The camp will allow participants the chance to be evaluated as future Mountaineers.

This camp will provide two training sessions that will challenge all players both in their technical and tactical areas. There will be goalkeeper specific training provided during camp.

WVU Soccer Camp for girls is designed to improve all levels of players’ technical and tactical awareness. Girls will be separated into specific groups depending on level of play, anyone who is interested in learning more about the game of soccer will enjoy this camp experience.

Women's Soccer: Overnight Camp

July 12-15, 2025

The curriculum for this camp is designed to maximize your potential as a player. Each session will be run by our WVU staff and will be geared toward enhancing technical ability, as well as tactical awareness. Morning sessions will emphasize the technical aspects of the game, one-on-one attacking and defending, receiving under pressure and finishing. Afternoon sessions will focus on small and large group tactics of attacking and defending. Evening sessions will consist of matches.

Women's Soccer: 4v4 Breast Cancer Tournament

THREE’S A TEAM...THE FOURTH IS A MOUNTAINEER

West Virginia Women’s Soccer wants you to help kick breast cancer. Make a team of 4 with two of your soccer-playing friends and a WVU Women’s Soccer Member.

Tournament is open to boys and girls in grades 3-12. There will be an open division for college age and an Over 30 division. Teams can be male, female or co-ed.
